Today’s materials brought forth great creativity and potentials to recreate, repair, and redesign architectural buildings, aesthetic places and interiors: new as well as old!

Originally, stuccos were made by curving out patterns in wood, but several hundred years later, industries developed stuccos in plaster instead. Today it has become way easier! In the early 1960s, new materials developed, and they almost became the only ones used today, namely polyurethane and polystyrene (styrofoam).

The decorative mouldings are made of a shock- and water-resistant material with a mirror-smooth and paintable surface that accentuates the finest details and curves of the cornices. When mounting, you will find that the material is sandable and easy to process with standard hand tools. The material can withstand moisture and most solvents, which makes cleaning an easy and safe process.

Regardless of which model you choose, mounting the mouldings is quite simple! Use standard hand tools for sawing, grinding and machining before assembly. Use glue to set up the mouldings, and if you happen to use superfluous glue, make sure you wipe off immediately with water or mild soap solution.

The material Polyforce

Polyforce is an extruded and impact-resistant polymer based on high-density polystyrene (HDPS).

The moulding is covered with white primer, which simplifies the absorption of subsequent layers of paint. We recommend painting with some type of water-based paint, for instance acrylic, latex or vinyl.
